Let’s Be Ready: Conversations in Advent
The season of Advent is soon to begin, and we’ll have four weeks to prepare for the arrival of the Christ child. Are you ready?
Let’s Be Ready together! The Christian Education Committee eagerly invites you to participate in Be Ready, a reflective dialogue on Thursdays during Advent from 7-8pm ET via Zoom. Our hour-long conversations will follow Be Ready, a new Advent Devotional by Week of Compassion. This book of daily readings corresponds to the Advent themes of hope, peace, joy, and love. Engaging these brief writings will spark our imaginations and ignite our faith to be ready for the birth of the Christ Child. Furthermore, Be Ready takes the heart of Advent–waiting, preparing, readying–to new places, engaging the spirit found within ministries of relief, refugees, preparedness, and recovery, alongside the sacred texts of the Advent season. The printed devotional is available by contacting the church office, or you may order it through Amazon for Kindle.
The Rev. Courtney Richards, editor of Be Ready and the Communications and Development Manager for Week of Compassion, created this video for us.
