An Update on Camp Christian

You may have heard that the Christian Church in Ohio and Camp Christian have experienced financial difficulties in recent years. As a result, a mortgage was taken out on the Camp, which had a balance of $211,923 as of May 2018. Since then, committed campers and supporters have raised over $148,500 (with almost $40,000 received during the recent Regional Assembly) to reduce that debt, and gifts continue to pour in, including from our Indiana Disciples friends who requested an offering for Ohio at their own Regional Assembly that same weekend!

This is WONDERFUL news! But the larger picture includes a need for increased, ongoing support of our region (CCiO) and our wider church, too. (One of the services they provide is the search-and-call process from which we benefited when calling our current, and former, pastors.)

The Christian Church in Ohio, Camp Christian, and the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) need your prayers and your financial support.
